Course Overview

The Department of Civil Engineering was established in 2012 and has become an integral part of the Institute. Civil Engineering has been in the institution as one of the core subjects in all branches of engineering.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO)

PEO I: To provide students with the basic principles and practices in Civil Engineering by laying solid foundation in mathematics and science. Civil Engineering graduates will have sufficient breadth of understanding to enable continued professional development & life- long learning as well as in pursuing higher education.

PEO II: To educate students with good breadth of knowledge in core areas of Civil Engineering and related engineering branches so as to comprehend engineering trade- products.

PEO III: To provide students with program to effectively communicate and work productively including supportive and leadership roles that will inculcate social and professional ethics to effectively practice as professional.

Course Content

Civil Engineering is a prominent and oldest branch of engineering which deals with buildings, bridges, roads, flyovers, railways, water supply, sanitary, development of townships and other infrastructural development. Due to liberalization policy of the government, many infrastructure projects like golden quadrilateral, National highway constructions and transport sector development are the need of the hour. Many multinationals are engaged in infrastructure developmental activities. The job opportunities are in civil engineering fields and software companies. Analytical and logical abilities and liking for the profession are the essential requirements. Subjects on concrete technology, transport engineering, water supply and sanitary engineering, geotechnical engineering, fluid mechanics and machinery, structural mechanics, hydrology and water resources, irrigation engineering, are studied in this course. The Department will provide many educational based facilities. Through this every student will grow up their personality in corporate sector. In first step we will provide the industrial training in local city or other industrial area. AutoCAD, Geology, Geotech & Engineering Design are specialization area of civil Engineering, where we grow up the knowledge about that, provide the industrial training & placement facility are also.

Regarding this field & stream the guidance will be provided from time to time. Our T.P.O. will contact many industries for providing the Campus placement facilities also. Career Options
